Meet our N-Actors
Sharon Williams - Artistic Director
A specialist in Drama Education, having qualified at Central School of Speech and Drama in 1983, Sharon has worked with both primary and secondary age students delivering drama workshops and devising up to performance.
Her educational drama experience ranges from teaching Drama to all key stages up to A Level, examining Drama to GCSE, delivering drama workshops to both teachers and students, and using Drama strategies in the classroom to support both teachers and students in their development.
She has also worked professionally as both actor and director, and delivered theatre and television training to adults at a multi-media college in Yorkshire in the late 1990s.
Her script writing is developed from workshop and improvisation, and the resulting plays have won several of her students awards for performance! Her plays for the secondary school classroom are available for use.

Alice Ryan
Alice is an Essex based actor and has been performing since the age of 8, when she first was introduced to the joys of acting at Ridley Drama Studios in Leigh-on-sea. She has been lucky enough to be part of many theatrical productions in and around Essex. Whilst at Belfairs High school she was introduced to many different styles of drama such as physical theatre and devising and was involved with many extra curricular projects including performances to get funding for the school. She has also taken part in TIE shows, Murder Mystery events and premiere performances of Peter Finlay’s ‘L’Occupation’ and Hoffman productions ‘The Tube’.
She continued acting and even dabbled in backstage work whilst studying English and Drama at ARU in Cambridge, and continued her education at Rose Bruford University.
Throughout her career she has had the pleasure of being part of award winning short films, webseries’ and independent features as both an actor and producer.

Richard Foster
Richard has been working in education in Essex for over 25 years. He has been Head of drama, Head of the Arts Faculty and has taught Drama, Performing Arts, and Media during his career.
His work with young people has been extensive, and he has entered many successful student performances into the Southend Theatre Festival over the years – both as a director and writer.
A prolific actor, Richard has performed in musical theatre, plays and concerts locally, nationally, and internationally.
Most recently he directed Oliver! at the Queen’s Theatre Hornchurch (May 2017), and performed in the National Drama Festival Association All Winners as Tommy in Conor McPherson’s The Night Alive (July 2017)
His technical knowledge means he is also our technical expert – all help gratefully received!

Matthew Burcombe
Matt is an Essex based actor and has been performing since the age of 7 where he started as a dancer. He has performed in many theatrical productions around Essex such as Oliver!, RENT, Fiddler on the Roof, The Sunshine Boys, Made in Dagenham and most recently the UK Premiere of Gods Favourite at the Kenneth More Theatre in Ilford.
Professionally trained at East 15 Acting School, he focused mainly on the community sides of theatre performing with children, the elderly and people with disabilities, on the streets and on stage. He has taken part in TIE shows as well as Family Pantomimes and performed as a lead actor at Shrek’s Adventure London!
Throughout his career he has had the pleasure of being a part of great shows with talented performers and directors for engaged audiences, and he truly believes that theatre is for everyone. Matt is delighted to be working with N-Act this year.

Anton Thompson
Anton is a London born & bred actor who has recently relocated to Essex. During secondary school he realised his passion for the arts lies much deeper than the occasional Christmas plays and drama workshops, to now having an extensive CV playing a vast amount of different characters.
Since graduation from Rose Bruford Drama School, Anton has been able to uphold a healthy working relationship within the acting industry.
From Feature Films, Award Winning Short Films and Touring Theatre Productions, Anton's understanding of the craft alongside his passion and detailed ability has flourished to greater heights.
Anton is always looking for an opportunity to embrace new work and aims to please with the mind set to deliver only the best he can with every character he recreates.

Louis Jay Jordon
Louis’ charisma, energy and enthusiasm is often the first thing people notice when he walks into a room and this has allowed him to make strides in his career.
Louis has made a great name for himself, booking both regular theatre and film work, and is now represented by Victoria Steven Castings.
His credits include the recent Warner Bro’s feature film TARZAN, NOBODY’S CHILD at the Arcola Theatre, DADDY ISSUES OF A HARLSDEN GIRL at the Lyric Hammersmith and BADNESS which will be filmed in Hungary later this year. Louis has lots of exciting projects in the pipeline and is also writing a short film.
