Mental Health First Aid training for teachers

All staff training programmes follow the performance of 'Invisible' and include the following:
 
Full Day
  • Performance of Invisible
  • What good mental health looks like
  • How to spot the signs of someone who is struggling
  • How to start a conversation
  • Active listening
  • Asking the right questions
  • Strategic planning for maintaining a mentally healthy school – policies and practice
Half day
  • Performance of Invisible
  • What good mental health looks like
  • How to spot the signs of someone who is struggling
  • Key principles of supporting students and staff who might be struggling
  • Consideration of policies and protocols in school
2 hours
  • Performance of Invisible

  • How to spot the signs of someone who is struggling
  • Key principles of supporting students who might be struggling
 
All programmes start with the performance of Invisible. This provides the discussion topics for the first part of the training. All programmes can be tailor made to suit the school and are designed to be interactive.
